I loved the book once I got past, I will call them the causation chapters, since some of the his proofs are dated and more relevant facts have been presented in the scientific fields. However, the break down on the attributes, adoption, and justification are well written and the book as a whole really brings your attention to concepts in the Bible that might have been glossed over.Product details

This is the best book on the early leaders in the SBC on Calvinism as it relates to Baptist life. If you lean toward a Calvinistic view of God's Sov. then this is a great work from one of the early leaders of the SBC.
loved it. created some good thoughts and challenged some preconceived notions. Great reference for bible study since he uses enormous amounts of scripture. lots of references to Charles Hodge's theology work.
This paperback edition of Boyce's Abstract is missing chapters 33-37, and chapter 12 and chapter 17 are both the same. Chapter 12 is supposed to be on the Will of God but it is just chapter 17 again so you have two of the same chapters in the book. Poorly edited copy. Boyce's Abstract is great but this copy of it is not. Buy the hardcover from Founders instead.
